I've recently taken up photography again after a lapse of many years. Capturing unique, distinctive images in the camera is my challenge.
I am a novice photographer who has a lot to learn. I throughly enjoy photography and hope I continue to makes strides in my accomplishments at it. Since setting out in this new hobby, God has truly blessed me with some very special opportunities. I count it a true blessing to have been able to see and capture some of the things that I have through a lens. I shoot with a Nikon D50; a Nikon 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 WA lens, a Nikon 50mm 1:1.8 D Lens, & a Tamron 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 LD Lens. Check back often, because I am always adding new pics to my photostream.

Although I have been taking pictures for years, I have just recently really started to think about what I'm shooting and how I'm shooting it. I've also decided that one of, if not my favorite subject, is people. I'm pretty fascinated with lighting effects, and capturing the character of people. Of course if I see something cool, I will snap some shots, but ultimately I would like to get better at people. I'm single handedly trying to keep film alive, but it seems like I'm fighting a loosing battle, which I will probably keep doing until there is no more film left.

I have a double major associates degree in Commercial and General Applied Photography from OIP&T. I have been shooting digital for about 3 years. I shoot Canon Digital Cameras, 5D and 300D (Digital Rebel). I do still have a film body... a Minolta as well. I shoot free lance for studios needing additional help as well as weddings, portraits and commercial work. As a day job, I am the Director of Marketing for 39 Papa John's locations. I am a mother of a 5 year old boy and lots of furry "children" (pets).
I've been interested in photography since middle school and I converted to all digital last year. I love hiking, camping, etc. I do not have a degree in photography but I did work at a portrait studio for a while. Landscape and Nature is my main focus; I do some Cityscapes, auto and Sports. Although I enjoy photographing any subject matter if it moves me.
The discovery of photography for me came about with digital cameras. I discovered a passion for light and color that probably began with my weekly visits to the Chicago Art Institute as a child. These became a regular part of the ballet lessons I was taking. I believe it is a lifelong exposure to the arts that have influenced what you seen in these pages. My hope is to tell the story of each event, show, wedding, etc. by capturing the moments and showcasing them for your continued enjoyment.
